Anime recommendations

If anyone wants to watch something from a certain genre then he or she can ask here for recommendations.
People can also post their recommendations without any requests, as long as they say something about the mentioned anime.

This morning I had no Internet and cable, so decided to watch something on my computer to pass the time. Usually I hardly find the time for that, so in a way I was glad to just relax and watch some movie. I decided for Tokyo Godfathers and I'm really glad I did.

Kon Satoshi created a brilliant work of art once again. Another great view on modern society. "No man is an island"- that's the thought that beautifully runs through the whole story. I laughed, I cried...if you like the stories about the (extra)ordinary lives of the everyday people then I warmly recommend this one.

Hmm I have suggestions.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: It's the best anime EVER! It has 27 episodes, and two Seasons. Season 1 is the first 15, then Season 2 is the next episodes till ep 27. The Story is about where the creatures called the Beastmen lead by the main antagonist Lord Genome, have taken over the planet earth. This has forced humans to go underground, and form villages.

Due to being under-ground humans deal with earth-quakes, and have diggers, they are used to help humans go deeper into the ground to avoid earthquakes. The Surface world is a myth to most humans, although there are some small rebellion groups and exiled people who travel the surface, but many are killed by Beastmen. The story focuses on Simon a digger, and his soul brother Kamina, who join forces with a rebellion fighter named Yoko to free the Surface World from the evil wrath of the Beastmen.

After Simon finds a Gunman called Lagann, the trio begins their fight to save the human race. Season 2 has an excellent plot as well, but I can't give out any information without spoiling Season 1.

It has EVERYTHING. It has mystery, action, drama, suspense, comedy, and of course FAN SERVICE! It's not a pure mecha anime either, it's the only mecha anime I like. It dosen't focus on mecha. It's a mix of shows such as DBZ, & YYH with robots, and epicness that surpasses 300.

Death Note: Perhaps one of the best anime/manga's of all time, and one of the most creative pieces of fiction in existence. This story focuses on the modern world in which crime rates have risen, and various people struggle for a peaceful world. The story is about Light Yagami, a high school student who finds a magical note-book, which can anyone as long as he has their name and face. He decides to use the note-book to kill criminals, and adopt the dual persona Kira.

He struggle's to keep his secrete, and plans to create a new world of peace and prosperity. The Death-Note's come from the Shinigami, who are beings who can stay immortal, by using their Death Note's. They come from the Shinigami Realm, an alternate dimension. In this story thanks to Light's actions, Shinigami become involved in the human's activities. Of course Law enforcement becomes active, and the super detective known as L makes it his personal mission to stop Kira.

An anime filled with suspense. It's amazing, it's also filled with action, and even romance suprisingly. No Comedy though, but it dosen't need any, it would alter the mood.

I wouldn't agree that there's no comedy at all. The relationship between L and Misa has an amusing note. And there's also that moment when Misa steps in the cake, her face was priceless.XD

I meant overall, L was my favorite chear. Near was annoying, and Mello was responsible for Soichiro's death so that man SUUUKS!

Soichiro was epic with Shinigami Eyes!

Anime recommendations!!!

Shinzo, Beyblade, Tenchi Muyo (Universe and In Tokyo included!), Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop and there are many others!

There's also this really good little anime, maybe you've heard of it? Its called Dragonball. Very good, you should check it out!

Tenchi Muyo Ryo Ohki: Here's the original Tenchi Muyo series, since there's more then one. This is the story about Tenchi Masaki a normal human boy who lives with his single parent father Nobouyuki. He trains with his grandpa Yosho. The story is about Tenchi freeing a space pirate named Ryoko, with various abilities from his grandpa's special tomb. So not only does she get involved with his life, so do various other aliens such as Ayeka, and Sasumi Jurian princes. Tenchi is on a quest to learn about why all these aliens are drawn to him, and find out about the nigh omnipotent powers he wields.

He deals with several who want to take something called the LHW from him or Light Hawk Wings, which can be used to repair, or destroy the universe. It's a 20 episode long anime, episodes are somewhat long, amazing plot. It has Strong powers, various interesting, characters.

Combination of DBZ, YYH, and some other fighting anime's, with some comedy, mystery, and romance. A good anime, it's just amazing

Azumanga Daioh
A fun, cute comedy series about a bunch of cute Highschool girls. Oh, and one of them is a super genius who is only 10! And of couse there's Osaka, my favorite anime character, original avatar and my anime twin! It's a very funny and strange show, and adorable! If not a bit girly.

Higurashi No naku Koro ni
THIS SHOW IS INSANE. It's a horror/mystery anime I suppose. It has an interesting plot and lovable (if not scary) characters. Including my 2nd favorite character of all time, Rena : D anyway, it's a great show that messes with your mind, but can also be cute and funny, if not a bit perverted. Do not watch if you are squeemish around blood!

I'd turn into a Hollow, merge to become a menos and then becoming the leading consciousness, eating other menos to an adunchas and the eat more of those to become a Vasto Lorde, and then rip off my mask to become and arrancar just to get with Neliel Tu Oderschvank...no fucking joke...

Yo I need some help finding another anime to watch.

I got a bunch I need to be watching, but I need something to side-track me, I don't like to finish good anime. I prolong the ending cuz it's hard to find epic anime like Code Geass these days..

Anyway help, strong characters and stuff.

Code Geass is very interesting anime, Son Goku had recommended me quite some time ago, but I never caught enough time to watch more than several episodes.

I have one nice recommendation to people who want some quick and nice action with nice graphics and awesome music - Apple Seed Ex Machina, I just refreshed my memory by watching it again yesterday, I like Apple Seed though I still didn't read the manga.

An anime that surprised me a lot (in the positive way) was GANTZ... what a bad ass anime (to bad they only made 26 episodes... )

GENRE: Action, Horror, Sci-fi, seinen, Psychological thriller...
PLOT: A pair of high school students, Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato, are run over by a subway train in an attempt to save the life of a homeless drunk who had fallen onto the tracks. Following their deaths, Kurono and Kato find themselves transported to the interior of an unfurnished Tokyo apartment. The pair soon realize others are present and find that they are not able to leave the apartment. At one end of the room there is a featureless black sphere known as "Gantz" and the story begins...

I do not want to spoil more...lol... I have to warn you thought... its an anime full of scenes with extreme violence and strong sexual appealing (way more than Elfen lied..lol)!!
The action is godlike and it have some psychological scenes/situations and thoughts about our society (people stupid mentalities and stuff like that) that are just outstanding.
The last time i was so addicted to an anime was when i watched One Piece..lol... I saw Gantz 26 episodes all night long..ehhehe
